Scandinavian Design School is an Art Foundation level institute, which offers online preparatory courses to art, design and architecture bachelor’s and master’s degree studies. Based in Finland, we combine the world’s top-ranking education with Scandinavian design expertise. We want to help you reach your goals and get the best education possible in your search for creativity.

To help you get started, we have put together a guide that introduces you to some of the best, some of the most interesting and some affordable but good quality alternatives worldwide.

We are constantly scouting around the world for the new trends and happenings in the field of design education. In addition to the best schools and programs, we have the latest information on all the emerging great programs in the field of art, design and architecture.

Ahead we will share a collection of 8 different schools, chosen by the criteria of having an English language BA program/s, good value for the money and location in a country where design and/or architecture has recognized cultural value. We have chosen schools with highly ranked education but also some not so well known schools that have high quality teaching and have well known designers as their alumni. We know that the financial aspect is also an important consideration. Top ranked schools have high tuition fees, but there are also more reasonably priced programs available.

There are so many interesting and high-quality programs available – so you should also consider your own criteria and go for what suits you best!

We hope that you’ll find this guide useful and helpful in search of your next big steps!

Sincerely,
Eeva Jokinen
Head Teacher, Scandinavian Design School
