Have you ever wondered how to become a top designer or artist?
I know there is no secret recipe, but it makes me wonder. People would probably say that a top designer or artist never thinks about it. Instead, they do their work, and that’s all.
So maybe it all depends on how much you do? Although long work hours should not be the only thing that can make you be at the top.
So maybe then talent…no, I don’t think so. Even the greatest had to work a lot before they got public recognition. It shows that there is no talent; instead, there are committed people who are not afraid to take risks.
Their commitment and interest in the field were the main things that made them move forward. During their life, they challenged themselves to do more, know more, and create more.
Such people as Picasso, Charles and Ray Eames, Dieter Rams, Saul Bass, Zaha Hadid, Massimo Vignelli, Kara Walker, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Vermeer, Claude Monet, Banksy, and others.
There is one thing that is common to all great artists and designers – learning. Learning was and is the main thing that can help you become great. As an English writer and philosopher, Aldous Huxley said: “The more you know, the more you see!”
By learning new things, you open new perspectives and level up your knowledge. With it, you bring more value to your work and become more valuable as a specialist.
Fashion Design
When I was a little girl, I wanted to become a fashion designer because I loved fashion; this industry was magical for me.
As time went by and I was learning the basic skills needed in this field, I encountered several failures; because of them, I would never become a part of the fashion industry. So I gave up on fashion but not design.
While studying design and art, I discovered new fields that brought me closer to my dream. So I reshaped it and joined the Scandinavian Design School Fashion Foundation course, where I started my studies from the begging.
The course was excellent and inspired me to continue l my learning journey. After the Fashion Foundation, I took the Basics of Digital Design course.
